Explosion-proof Motor Troubleshooting
Explosion-proof motor is a special motor equipment with great danger. Once the explosion-proof surface has rust and rust spots, the contact surface is not in good contact, and harmful media will take the opportunity to enter, corroding the parts and winding insulation in the machine, and once the explosion-proof motor loses explosion-proof performance, the consequences are unimaginable. Therefore, it is very important to find, repair and eliminate explosion-proof motor faults in time.
The factors that cause the explosion-proof motor to explode and the cleaning methods are roughly as follows:
(1)Because the protection and installation are not rigorous enough, the explosion-proof surface is seriously corroded.
Therefore, it is necessary to adopt the correct device process and carefully check and protect according to the protection guidelines.
(2)The explosion-proof surface has suffered serious mechanical damage.
This is caused by improper installation or transportation and hoisting. If the correction is difficult, it is necessary to replace the explosion-proof motor of the same type.
(3)The sealing ring is damaged, and the sealing effect cannot be obtained.
Three-phase asynchronous motors should generally be equipped with fault protection devices, such as thermal protection devices, motor electronic protectors, etc., and the setting value of the protection device should be adjusted according to the motor nameplate current. If the motor load is relatively stable, in order to better protect the motor, the setting value of the protection device can be adjusted according to the actual working current of the motor. This is due to improperly formed fastening screws. If the tightening screw is too tight and the force is too large, the sealing ring will be fractured; when the tightening screw is too loose, the sealing ring will be corroded by the outside world, and it is easy to cause damage and lose the sealing effect. In addition, if the raw material of the sealing ring is not good, it will cause premature damage. At this time, it should be replaced with a qualified sealing material.
(4)The explosion-proof surface is seriously deformed.
Three-phase asynchronous motors should generally be equipped with fault protection devices, such as thermal protection devices, motor electronic protectors, etc., and the setting value of the protection device should be adjusted according to the motor nameplate current. If the motor load is relatively stable, in order to better protect the motor, the setting value of the protection device can be adjusted according to the actual working current of the motor. This is due to factors such as insufficient machining accuracy of parts, improper handling of raw materials, and improper operation. When requesting the device, the force should be uniform, and when machining, it should be processed according to the drawing accuracy and roughness. It is relatively difficult to repair the explosion-proof motor with serious deformation of the explosion-proof surface, and a new explosion-proof motor should be replaced if necessary. The slight deformation, again because the device is improperly formed, can be reassembled from scratch.
(5)Usually the protection is not perfect
It is reflected in the following aspects: too much dirt, not cleaned in time; loose screws, not checked and tightened in time; insulation damped, insulation resistance decreased; explosion-proof surface corroded, etc. Therefore, inspection and repair work should be carried out carefully in accordance with the protection regulations.
(6)Explosion-proof motor overheating
Generally, the factors and solutions for overheating of explosion-proof motors are as follows: the ventilation system is faulty; the fan is damaged or the model is wrong. The solution is to check the protection regularly, and deal with the existing problems in time; the explosion-proof motor bearing is faulty, resulting in the explosion-proof motor iron core sweeping, which is equivalent to the explosion-proof motor overload, and the qualified bearing should be replaced in time; the explosion-proof motor overload should be based on the explosion-proof motor capacity. Adjust the size of the load from scratch; if the power supply voltage is too high or too low, the power supply voltage should be at the rated value; if the explosion-proof motor is corroded, check the tightening status of the seals and screws; if the winding is faulty, such as winding short circuit, single-phase open circuit, winding grounding Wait, check it out and repair it in time.
